Getting Ready for Summer Camp

On Father's Day, I dropped my oldest off at Summer camp. The smell of pine, the red clay, the
lakefront chapel and the musty cabins reminded me of my experience at church camp. Oh to be young again. A part of me wanted to stay and do a week at camp all over again, but it is my daughter's turn and I hope it is fun, memorable and meaningful.

My time at VBS (my youngest goes to her first VBS this week), camp and choir tour were important mile markers on my faith journey. I'm excited to walk my kids along those miles knowing their experience will be different but an important part of their walk.

I noticed that the girls like to decorate their bunks. One girl had a string of lights and decals that stuck to the walls. We are SO doing that next year!
